Hosting Connection Updates- December 20, 2007
Here are two applications we have recently updated.
* Drupal 5.5
* Wordpress 2.3.1
[FYI, as a rule of thumb, we generally like to wait several weeks after updated versions come out before we deploy in Hosting Connection. This allows us to be sure that any security or functionality issues get flushed out first.]
We add apps based on customer demand and we'd love some more suggestions! Thanks again to all those who continue sending theirs in.

I'd like to see Movable Type Blog Software added to the applications available at GoDaddy. Since the latest version is open source, we'll hopefully see it added.

I'd like to see the moinmoin wiki supported. I'm trying to get the wikimedia wiki up and configured but that is a lot harder and more confusing. I've hosted moinmoin elsewhere and have taken minutes rather than hours to get the first shot open for business. moinmoin would require python support.

I love the hosting account on GoDaddy! You all have the best rates ever! My only complaint is that I can't enjoy the new Mircosoft frameworks as they come out (such as .Net 3.0 and .Net 3.5). I understand your policy about waiting and all, but it is very frustrating not only because I don't get to use the new technology on my personal site, but also your intentions to update are not ever announced.
Would you all consider keeping an "Update Calandar" or something so that we can see when / if you all are planning to update your systems w/o having to call technical support? This will assist me in planning website maintenance / upgrades.

Updating windows hosting to .NET 3.5 Framework would allow support for ms visual studio 2008.

How can we enable and use the Drupal system that was promised in the hosting package? I can't seem to find it.
