If you need someone to access your shared hosting without accessing your entire Go Daddy account, then we have the tool for you! The AccountExec tool, in the Hosting Control Center, gives you the ability to add an AccountExec and assign different permissions. You have the option to grant administrative, infrastructure, content and reporting access. Once permissions are granted, your new AccountExec can access the hosting account by following this link: https://hostingmanager.secureserver.net/Login.aspx.

That's a really great addition. Many times you need to have someone access your shared web hosting but don't want to grant them full access.

Please help we are working to get ASP.NET MVC site working on Godaddy. Saw a comment you made on another site and would like your help. I'm working on the above site and the calendar link is not work. Please review and let know if you have any questions.

You can install the MVC assemblies in the bin directory of their Windows hosting account.

The ASP.NET MVC Framework can be deployed in the \bin directory of an app and work in partial trust. The first ASP.NET MVC preview release required a setup program to be run on machines in order for the System.Web.Mvc.dll assembly to be registered in the machine's GAC (global assembly cache).Starting with this upcoming preview release we will enable applications to instead directly reference the System.Web.Mvc.dll assembly from the application's \bin directory. This means that no setup programs need to be run on a sever to use the ASP.NET MVC Framework - you can instead just copy your application onto a remote ASP.NET server and have it run (no registration or extra configuration steps required).We are also doing work to enable the ASP.NET MVC framework to run in "partial/medium trust" hosting scenarios. This will enable you to use it with low-cost shared hosting accounts - without requiring the hosting provider to-do anything to enable it (just FTP your application up and and it will be good to run - you don't need to install anything).

Hi Alicia,
I'm a very frustrated godaddy customer. I have been trying (without success) to upload my webpage to godaddy. I'm very close to throwing in the towel and going with a different provider. I trasferred my domain from Yahoo (where it worked great). here...well it stinks.
The connection to the host disconnects after uploading for 2-5 minutes. I can't remember the error. I've tried using FP 2002...no luck. Then I removed the FP extentions and tried via FTP using Expressions. Same thing. Then I used the java-based FTP application on the Godaddy site. Same thing.
I've emailed support, but I only get a canned response. I need a little more TLC than that.

i'm using visual web developer 2008 with asp.net. i guess i can't connect remotely to the sql server database, but what is happening when i use the asp.net configuration app? i've used it recently and it connected and allowed me to configure security, roles, ad members, but most of the time i can't connect.
can someone help me with the connection strings or offer some other advice?
forms authentication and logins seem to be working. is vwd using a seperate database in App_Data folder?

Unusual problem. Since the migration of my site from one server to another, the Front Page extensions do not work and give an HTTP 500 error.
GoDaddy says all should be good but all student form completions fail. I'm using go-daddy because of it's FP Extension capabilities.
Any thoughts ?
